A United Airlines flight with nearly 200 people aboard landed safely Thursday on the Big Island after an emergency was declared due to hydraulic issues.
United Airlines flight 1721 from San Francisco International Airport to Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole landed safely at 2:38 p.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating, officials said.
